Make Way For Ducklings!

In Boston we saw Make Way For Ducklings. The ducklings were so cute! I read in a book called Going to Boston: The Freedom Trail Mystery that two of the ducks had been stolen. They remade them. One duck was found by BU. Authorites thought that college students stole it as some sort of joke. It's leg was too mangled to put back in the Common, so they put it in a children's hospital for the kids delight. I don't remember what happened to the other one, except they had to remake it. We had a nice time in the Common. We rode the swan boats. Caroline and Emily liked the swans best, although I liked the beauty of the ride, the ducks, and the many weeping willows, which are my favorite kind of tree. I think that was mom and dad's favorite part too. We also saw this cool tree which I believe is called a weeping oak.

Where in the World was Alissa?

Louisa May Alcott's House: Orchard House

Hello! I've just been in Boston and Concord Massachusetts. We saw Louisa May Alcott's house, the aquarium, Boston's huge Borders, Make Way for Ducklings, the old North Church, and many other things. We also visited our friends Aunt Julie, Uncle Bos, Brennan, Caroline, Charolotte, and Martha. The best thing in Concord was Louisa May Alcott's house. In Boston it was the aquarium and the swan boats.

My favorite fish were the sea horses and dragons. The runners up are the crystal jellyfish and the blue lobster.

Runners Up: Crysyal Jellyfish and Blue Lobster

Merchandise

Borders has some new Harry Potter merchandise, like the house banners, chess boards, and lunchboxes. They also have Timeturners, Golden Snitches, and crystal balls. Emily also gave me a really cool top that we say is a Sneakerscope.

Finally!

I finally got pictures! Yeah! The broomstick handle still needs some more work, but so far it's pretty good.

This is my favorite wand so far. I also made some for my cousins, my sisters, and my friends. This is my wand. It is red maple, slightly springy, phoenix, and 17 and a quarter inches.

Nothing To Write

I actually have stuff to write, but I need a camera to post pictures, which is hard to do when you need new batteries for the camera. I still need to get a picture of the broom I started (which still needs to be sanded and get the twigs on the end of it), the robes (I haven't started them but that's not entirely my fault since I couldn't get to a fabric store), and the wands (Rainah give yours back so I can get a picture of it!). I'm going to try to make the Invisibility Cloak (once I've finished my first cloak of course), the Resurrection Stone, and the Elder Wand, the Deathstick, or what ever you want to call it. I for one prefer the Cloak. I'm itching to post pictures. (I'm literally itching. My swimsuit is a bit on the itchy side.) Well, I'll try (I can't promise) to post pictures tomorrow!

Known Ravenclaws: Rowena Ravenclaw, Luna Lovegood, Cho Chang, Professor Flitwick, Roger Davies.

Good points: Intelligent and wise. Library is your domain. Never get labeled as "the dumb kids". Reading Hogwarts, A History is considered a good thing. Eagles are generally cool. It's the focus of this site and my fic.

Bad points: Considered nerdy. Get no recognition of note until Book Three. Never even sorted/seen in the movie.

I got into Ravenclaw! It's my second favorite house after Gryffindor. I think after Ravenclaw ,on the quiz, it was just about a tie between Gryffindor and Hufflepuff. Yeah! The hat also takes your decison into account so I think I would be in Gryffindor or maybe Ravenclaw. To take the quiz go to Sort Me! on the side of the page. Tell me which house you're in!

Creating

Dad has been helping me make a broomstick. It's a maple from the backyard. We haven't gotten too far yet. But once I'm finished I'll post pictures immediately. We're going to call it the Rising Phoenix 5000. Dad was all for Bob though. Mom also found a book of wizard parties that teaches you to make robes which mom will help me with. Mom's helping me with them since my old ones are too small and made of the uncomfy polyester. I'm also making wands with the pocket knife from mom. Pictures coming soon!

The Wedding

Mom's sister, Chris FINALLY got married. Her wedding was nice. She married a man named Wayne. He seems nice, but I don't know much about him though. The wedding was fun. Aunt Chris invited a few friends and family. They played some of my favorite songs like Brown Eyed Girl. I actually got a blister on my foot. I've never gotten one before. I also got Emily on the dance floor. It was a lot of fun dancing with her even if she put me in knots. I hope they have a successful marriage.

Books

Hey, these are pretty cool

Story Spoiler

Anyone wanting to read this, it is a story spoiler of the 7th Harry Potter. You've been warned. First I'd like to say this story gets 2 thumbs up. Rowling has done it again. I just wish that they said more on the veil Sirius went through. Oh well. Rowling made a mistake though. She said that the D.A. communicated with the coins. But Oliver Wood left school before the D.A. so how could he have the magical coins? Dad said Rowling knew all the characters she wanted to kill. But she did a 2 for 1 deal and killed Lupin and Tonks instead of Mr.Weasley. He also said that she had Hagrid carry Harry's supposedly lifeless body to make it seem Hagrid was carrying Harry out of the wizarding world he brought him into. That's all for today exept let's bow our heads in memory of Hedwig, Dobby, Tonks, Ted, Lupin, Fred, and Colin.
